			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This vertically mounted float transducer series offers a reliable and economical means of tank level monitoring suitable for a wide variety of applications and liquids.  Available with either brass or 316 stainless steel mounts and stainless, polypropylene or Buna-N floats, the C3957 features a 5mm resolution, while the C3946 offers a 10mm resolution.  Each model has a simple two- or three-wire connection.</p>
<p>These sensors contain a chain of equally spaced magnetic switches and resistors in sensing lengths to 96 inches.  When activated by the moving magnetic float, the switch chain creates a variable resistance signal that is then converted to a proportional voltage (1-5VDC) or current output, (4-20 mA) through a 24VDC powered circuit board located within the compact stem.  The output can then be routed to a meter, programmable controller or other readout or receiver.  The float transducers can also be equipped with separate high and/or low float switches for independent alarm signals.</p>
<p>Unlike many solid state level transmitters, this series is unaffected by conductivity or dielectric properties of the liquid.  &#8220;If it floats&#8230;it works!&#8221;  The integral circuit board design and robust brass or stainless tube resists shock and vibration, making it ideal for off-road vehicle fuel tanks, generator tanks and more.</p>
<p>The series offers a low-cost, buoyancy-based alternative to other level sensing technologies and compliments an ever-growing selection of dependable OEM-priced products.</p>

<p>Designed to meet the backlighting needs of LED TVs and room lighting applications, this new family of connectors is the first of its kind on the market to provide a full range of both board-to-board and wire-to-board solutions.</p>
<p>These connectors are designed for LED TVs and standard room-lighting applications requiring the placement of LEDs on interconnecting panels across the full width of the display or lighting fixture.</p>
<p>The design meets the need for flexibility and space savings and includes coplanar board-to-board connectors used to snap together small panels containing LED lights.  The system includes a wire-to-board option to connect the LED boards to the main power board; a terminating connector is available and is used as a shorting device to complete an open-loop signal.</p>
<p>Key features of the 3.00mm (.118”) mated height family include a dual-contact terminal design for secure electrical contact, space-saving positive side locks for wire-to-board connections, and mating guide features that help facilitate mating and protect terminals during mating and unmating.</p>
<p>Currently, the system is available in a two-circuit design.  Additional components such as a wire-to-board adapter that allows a signal line to be carried from one LED panel module grouping to another are in the planning stages to add even further flexibility to the system.</p>

<p>The pre-assembled, fully-submersible connector system is a high-performance connector system; offering a reduced package size and is ideal for SAE- and ISO-style wire in single- and dual-row configurations up to 22.0A supporting both signal and power applications for on-engine automotive to off-road construction equipment applications</p>
<p>Based on the 1.50mm ISO blade-type terminal system, the connector system consists of matte- and cable-sealed connectors, receptacles and terminals.  Available in tin, gold or silver contact finishes, the connector system provides cost savings by eliminating the need to purchase, handle and crimp individual wire seals.  The single silicone-based seal in the plug and receptacle has individual wire openings and a seal cap to protect, securely retain and provide strain relief.  Integral terminal position assurance (TPA) and optional connector position assurance (CPA) components eliminate time-consuming and costly assembly operations.  Many of these products employ ring-seal technology to meet IP6K7 and IP6K9K sealing requirements.</p>

<p>Building on the success of its interconnect system, the second generation sealed, hybrid, high-density and modular connector system has been introduced.  The sophisticated design of the fully protected seal offers the ultimate in sealing performance, making the connector system particularly well suited for transportation powertrain applications, such as those found in engine control units, automatic gear boxes, suspension controllers and electrical parking brakes.</p>
<blockquote><p>Based on over a decade experience with the product line, our next-generation interconnect system offers significant improvements in product performance while remaining cost competitive,” says Selvan Wilhelm, Global Product Manager.  “The unique feature for all new connectors is the sophisticated design of the interfacial seal protection, which ensures the connector remains protected before mating, and during mating and unmating operations.”</p></blockquote>
<p>The first two circuit sizes of the family, which meet the demands of the transportation market, is a compact 5-row 55-circuit connector and a 5-row 65-circuit connector.  Additional circuit sizes to extend the family are already in development.  Both connectors support low and medium current using .635mm (.025&#8243;) and 1.50mm (.059&#8243;) terminals.  The new matte seal is designed for the ultimate high performing sealing function of the terminals, and can be used with ISO and JASO wires.  The terminal system features a clean-body type design that performs well in harsh environments, while serving low, medium and high current applications.  The use of high conductivity copper alloy allows excellent stress relaxation and current carrying properties.</p>
<p>The rear seal cover, which can be molded with breakable dummy-plugs for the terminal cavities, helps to reduce cycle time and applied costs for harness manufacturers.  It also allows customers more flexibility for unused cavities.</p>

<p>The intelligent battery modules answer common reliability questions such as: Is the battery fully charged?  How long will the battery backup last?  Does the battery need replacement?  Can the aging battery still supply the proper amount of energy?</p>
<p>The IQ technology manages the battery status and displays all of the relevant data on the UPS’s front panel, or transmits it to a computer.  As a result, the user always knows the charge state, remaining buffer time and expected lifetime.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dee Electronics is pleased to announce the latest addition to this line of electronic circuit protection products.  The 12 V DC version is designed for SCADA/RTU applications – providing optimal protection for both 12 V DC switch-mode power supplies and solar/battery based systems.  The most unique feature is the ability to remotely reset the device from outside an enclosure.  This can be accomplished via a simple momentary push button or from an output of an RTU or PLC controller.  In RTU/SCADA applications, equipment is primarily located in remote unpopulated locations.  The remote reset functionality reduces the need for field engineers to travel to sites to troubleshoot equipment – reducing the overall cost of equipment maintenance and downtime.</p>
<h1>Specifications</h1>
<p>It is available in fixed current ratings from 1 A to 10 A, and provides selective load protection &#8211; ensuring exclusive disconnection of the current path in the event of an overload or short circuit in the field load device without compromising the DC 12 V power source (i.e. battery drain).  This limits the short circuit current to 1.3 to 1.8 times rated current and disconnects 100 ms after the fault has been detected.  Inrush peaks are tolerated from capacitive loads of more than 20,000 μF, and is designed with an auxiliary output to provide individual alarm capabilities for critical process flow applications.  This space-saving device has a width of only 12.5 mm and 80 mm in height and depth.  Its low power consumption makes it ideally suited for battery-buffered DC 12 V applications, specifically in the solar industry.  It is Din rail ready and can be mounted either individually or in a group side-by-side with a simplistic bus bar system for +12 V DC and ground.  Also utilizes the same screw terminals as its 24 V DC counterpart which allows up to a 10 mm² conductor to be wired directly to the device, this ensures reliable and safe wiring connections.</p>
<h1>Approvals</h1>
<p>The product family carries the UL1604 and UL508 approval for use in Class I, Div. 2, Hazardous Location and General Automation applications, respectively.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h1>Emergency Stop with LED, Small and Cost Effective</h1>
<p>In order to fulfill the need for a small and easy to install E-Stop, Smile has been developed.  This device is much like a common quick disconnect proximity switch which is engineered into the design of a machine.  The connector allows for the use of premolded cables, eliminating labor and improper wiring.  Disconnecting this device results in the safe prevention of the machine to operate.  With M12 connection/s or cable and centralized mounting holes, Smile is very easy to install, especially on aluminum extrusions.</p>
<p>The Smile E-Stop has been engineered to lower the labor costs associated with installation and troubleshooting while improving machine safety.  Plug and play technology with multiple connect/disconnect options reduce installation costs by up to 60% compared to conventional machine wiring methods.  Troubleshoot more efficiently with built in LED diagnostics that eliminate the need to individually cycle and test each e-stop after a fault.  This easy-to-install design improves safety by eliminating the need for contact blocks, which may loosen and cause the e-stop button to fail in an unsafe mode.  Reduction of installation costs, downtime, and error proofing make the Smile E-Stop the ideal way to reduce costs while increasing safety for your e-stop applications.</p>
<p>Smile is available for E-Stops in both dynamic and static safety circuits—i.e. for interfacing to Vital/Pluto and Safety Relays.  Each version is available with either one or two M12 connections or cable. In the top of the Smile E-stop unit LEDs show the actual status:</p>
