How to Reduce your Part Cost without Negotiating – Free White Paper Report

We have compiled a list of techniques and areas that provide a form of a ‘checklist’ that can be used when trying to reduce the cost of a given component, but they do not require negotiating with the supplier or vendor. Essentially, these are proven areas that many times allow cost to come down through empirical data, vs. strong arming or pushing the vendor/supplier — which is an entirely different area for which many other papers and books have been written.

The value of having a list like this of these areas of cost reduction is that it is a very efficient, easy, and low stress way to verify if easy money is being left on the table due to simply not knowing there could be a lower cost available. This easy money savings is not necessarily in excess profit for the supplier/vendor, but rather ‘wasted cost’ that is built into a given scenario, that may not be adding any “value” to you. Essentially, this non-negotiating process is about ‘waste elimination’ at its root level. We reveal a bunch of ‘must-do’ techniques in this report.

If you would like a FREE copy of this White Paper report, you can send an email to MyFeedback@DEE-inc.com, put “How to Reduce My Cost without Negotiating Report” in the Subject, and provide your contact information.

Free White Paper

It is mainstream conventional wisdom that a company (OEM or CM) can purchase a component for a lower price or less money directly from the manufacturer of the component than from an intermediary such as a Value-Added Integrator. And, although this may have been found to be the case on some occasions, it has clearly been proven not to be the case in many situations. In other words, an assumption of ‘it’s cheaper to buy direct’ would be a gross over simplification of reality.

In this Free White Paper, we identify 6 key reasons why it is not cheaper to buy ‘Direct’, and in fact, it is lower cost to purchase parts and components from a Value-Added Integrator.

If you would like a copy of this Free Report, just send an email to MyFeedback@Dee-inc.com, put in a subject of “6 Reasons for Lower Cost on Direct Parts Report”, and provide your contact information.

End of Life (EOL) issues are something that every Original Equipment Manufacturer Engineer, Buyer, Purchasing and Materials Manager, and Supply Manager have to deal with on a weekly basis. Although parts going End of Life is unavoidable, because everything comes to an end, there are proactive and strategic steps that can be taken to better manage the EOL situation. Better managing the EOL circumstance means less time invested or wasted dealing with an EOL problem, avoidance of costly line down situations, or avoiding getting caught without warranty coverage.

This white paper report outlines 4 Key Steps identified through the learning and data collected from other Original Equipment Manufacturers to properly and strategically manage and navigate through End of Life part circumstances.

Original equipment manufacturers need compact, flexible safety solutions, but many safety systems on the market require complex software with expensive licensing fees. This can deter OEMs from these products in favor of familiar, time-tested safety relays. As a result, safety relays might be selected for an application when a safety system or safety controller is a better solution. Dee Electronics creates an easy transition for clients who were reluctant to use a configurable system or safety controller due to complexity and cost.

Implementing a Reusable Container/Packaging program is something that many companies, including many Equipment Manufacturers, are pursuing for obvious reasons. There are some attractive reasons to do so, such as reducing packaging waste that has a cost in both storage and disposal. Another advantage is reducing environmental waste impact via the recycling of containers and packaging. However, there are relatively few companies, by percentage, that have implemented a comprehensive reusable/recycled container replenishment program across multiple commodities or throughout their entire supply chain.

Why have more equipment manufacturers not implemented reusable packaging replenishment programs or not implemented them across most of their commodities, when it is such a desirable and popular concept?

There are several key reasons for this, and we address these in this FREE Whitepaper report. Furthermore, and more importantly, we will address how these roadblocks to implementation can be overcome (aka ‘key secrets’ to implementing a reusable container replenishment program).

DEE has developed a White Paper Report that identifies 5 Key Things that should be done on an RFQ Request for Quotation, but never are done, in order to get a substantial Cost Savings and the very best cost outcome. These key actions apply to both large RFQ’s as well as single line or small RFQ’s, but obviously have greatest impact and greatest economies of scale on bigger RFQ situations. All are straight forward to implement, and they can all be tested in a small way to verify that the results are worth the effort (good ROI).
