Ethernet Switches Provide Additional Fiber Connectivity Options

Line of unmanaged Ethernet switches expanded with the introduction of five new fiber variants to accommodate a diverse variety of applications.

By providing two fiber optic ports, the new Ethernet switches extend the client’s fiber optic network connectivity options for extreme environmental applications.  As with the other 5-and 8-port Ethernet switches, the new models support Layer 1 port blocks and cable locks, can process and prioritize QoS and has user-selectable link monitoring.  They offer customers superior price and functionality value while providing highly reliable industrial Ethernet connections for a wide range of applications.

The new fiber switches enable cost-effective integration of fiber runs into the industrial network and offers a single mode fiber option fordistances up to 20 km.  The line provides the ability to offer Ethernet switching for specific targeted applications.  The fully-industrialized Ethernet switches provide the lowest installed cost for entrylevel machine or monitoring applications, where the extra performance and security options of other switches are not required.
