These new Solar cordgrips can be used for solar rooftop installations in place of rooftop combiner boxes.  They are less expensive, easier to install and more aesthetically pleasing than combiner boxes.  The cordgrips are threaded into an adapter that allows them to be attached directly to rigid (PVC) or EMT type conduit.  They provide a watertight seal for PV module output leads to inverters.  The NPT threads easily assemble into schedule 40 fittings and the generous wrenching flats allow for ease of assembly.  There is no disassembly required for installation.  The UV resistant and nylon construction with TPE or Buna N Sealing Gland resists salt water, weak acids, gasoline, alcohol, oil, grease, and common solvents.   They have a 94V‐2 flammability rating, IP 68 rating, and temperature rating of ‐22⁰F(‐30⁰C) to 212⁰F (100⁰C).
